NT Hosted sites can execute cgi/perl scripts from any
directory within their home directory without needing any rights or permissions
modifications.
For any cgi or perl scripts that need it, here is the Full path to
your home directory:
E:\wwwroot\<username>
As is, Count.cgi, FormMail.pl, and Autorespond.pl do not work on
NT Hosted sites. If you have transferred from a Unix hosted site to an NT hosted
site, you can not use your existing Unix perl/cgi scripts without making modifications to
them. This also applies to the free commerce.cgi shopping cart we provide.
For hit Counters and Form Mail capability, you can use the built
in Frontpage Counters and Form Mail functions provided by Frontpage Extensions. To
use the Frontpage Counters and Form Mail functionality, you must use Frontpage 98 or 2000
to develop and publish your web site. |
